Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie - Turmeric, Orange, Mango, and Pineapple

If you've been to an Indian restaurant then you have likely eaten Turmeric. Turmeric is the spice that gives curry is yellow color. 

Turmeric has long been used by the people of India for its medicinal properties: primarily as an anti-inflammatory.

This is because Turmeric contains powerful compounds know as curcuminoids, the most common being Curcumin. 

Curcumin has the incredible ability of shutting off inflammation within the body and is also a powerful antioxidant. 

If you are feeling run down from a long day at work or an intense workout, give this tasty and tangy turmeric smoothie recipe a try.

Directions:

  1. Pour 12oz of water into a blender
  2. Add 1 Peeled Orange
  3. Add 1/2 a Mango (Sliced)
  4. Add 1 Cup of fresh or frozen Pineapple 
  5. Add 1 Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  6. Add a pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt (Optional)
  7. Blend thoroughly
