20 years ago (age 22), I felt like I was running on empty. I’d wake up tired, drag myself through the workday in a fog, and have zero energy left by the time I got home. I was over 170lbs (my heaviest ever), I had sky high anxiety for no reason and struggled to put on any muscle.
My mood was all over the place, and my motivation was geared toward negative habits like drinking, smoking weed, and eating fast food. I had zero interest in taking care of myself
After months of feeling this way, I finally decided to talk to my doctor. We ran some tests, and the results were a bit of a shock: my testosterone level was close to 200 ng/dl like a 70 year old man. It was a tough pill to swallow, but it also explained a lot. The fatigue, the low mood, the lack of drive—it all started to make sense.
My doctor wanted to put me on TRT and told me the condition was likely permanent. We never figured out why, but the two likely causes were repeat head injury from sports and the chronic orchitis that I had struggled with on and off since puberty.
I have always been someone who prefers to explore natural paths first, so I did a google search and found a book called, The Natural Testosterone Plan, by Stephen Buehner. The book underscored that my lifestyle significantly contributed to my low testosterone levels, revealing that I lacked a nutrition plan specifically tailored to optimize hormonal health.
The book covered everything about diet, exercise, and supplements that could support healthy hormone levels in men. That’s when I stumbled upon something I’d never heard of before: pine pollen.
Initially, I was skeptical. Pollen from a tree? It sounded a bit out there, but the more I read, the more it made sense. I learned that pine pollen contains phyto-androgens, which are plant-based compounds structurally similar to human hormones, including testosterone. In nature it is the male sperm of the plant and is literally designed to give life and vitality to other plants.
The book even hypothesizes that kids grow with the seasons because of increased sunlight and exposure to environmental pollen in spring.
The book stated that when eaten, it can do the same for adults humans and help alleviate the symptoms of low testosterone and even give a boost to those with already normal testosterone. I obviously became obsessed.
I did not want to start TRT at 22, so I decided to give it a try. I found a reputable source that sold wild harvested pine pollen and gave it a shot. This was 10 years before my wife and I decided to start Wild Warrior to share it with other people.
Starting was simple. I just took a few capsules everyday and that's it.
The first week, I didn't notice much. Then, around the two-week mark, I started to feel a subtle shift. I woke up feeling well rested and saw a significant improvement in my morning erections. That familiar brain fog began to lift, and I found it easier to focus at work.
By the end of the first month, the changes were undeniable. My energy levels were steadily climbing. I wasn't crashing in the afternoon anymore. I started going back to the gym, and not only did I have the energy for my workouts, but I felt stronger and more motivated than I had in years. My mood stabilized, my anxiety attacks vanished, and I felt a renewed sense of optimism and general well-being.
I didn't stop there though. I had to face the fact that my frat boy lifestyle was going to kill me. So I quit using tobacco and weed, cut my drinking way back, and eliminated the fast food. I also started going to bed at a regular time, especially on work nights.
The results were huge. While pine pollen never got me to the super-human range, it did help get me into the normal range and boosted my testosterone to the high 500s ng/dl. That was a 300 point boost from just a little yellow powder and some serious re-engineering of my lifestyle.
Fast forward 20 years, I still take pine pollen every day. Over the years, I have integrated additional elements into my regimen as I identified key foods, nutrients, and herbs essential for maintaining testosterone levels within a healthy range. This is why we now have things like our bull testicle supplement, Testo Elite, and our Methylated Multivitamin.
I use all of these things together and at 42, I can consistently stay in the the 600-700s ng/dl depending on the time of year and how well I am adhering to my regimen.
My initial experience with pine pollen has been a transformational and ultimately led to the formation of our company in 2013. Pine Pollen helped me reclaim my energy, my mood, and my testosterone.
If you're considering a similar path, my advice is to do your own research and, most importantly, listen to your body and talk to your doctor. Natural supplements aren't a quick fix, and what worked for me, might not work for you.
Always start with a high-quality product from a trusted source and be patient. We have been manufacturing pine pollen for 13 years and know how to do it right.
If you are feeling like I was at 22, give it a try and see how you feel. Whether you are struggling with Low-T, or just looking for an edge in they gym, pine pollen can help give you the edge you are looking for.
Thank you for your support and letting me share. Hope you find this helpful.
