How to Lose Belly Fat Fast
WANT TO LOSE BELLY FAT FAST? THESE PROTOCOLS CAN HELP
Belly fat is stubborn and can feel nearly impossible to eliminate. But once you crack the code (like we have) and learn how to lose belly fat fast; you’ll be able to keep it off for good and help others do the same.
Why Is Belly Fat So Dangerous?
Doctors, Scientists, and Physicians have proven a direct correlation between belly fat, chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, and cancer), and premature death.
In addition to those “scary” conditions, belly fat produces a ton of excess estrogen that can throw your hormones out of balance and cause other issues like low sex-drive, erectile issues (men), irregular periods (woman), and of course….more fat accumulation.
It can cause a vicious roller coaster that is hard to get off of.
So, how do you lose belly fat fast? Here are our 3 favorite weapons.
Note: Each of these fat loss bombs are beneficial by themselves; however, if you want to lose belly fat fast, you should combine them into one regular routine.
How To Lose Belly Fat Fast
Belly Fat Tip #1: Count Carbs - Not Calories
Okay, calories DO matter. but carbohydrates are the primary villain when it comes to what you put in your mouth. Our bodies can only use so much of this stuff; the rest is converted by your body into fat that gets stored all over the place, usually as belly fat first.
As DocTesta discusses in the video below, try following a low carbohydrate diet of around 100 grams per day. According to DocTesta, limiting carbohydrates to around 100 grams can really have a dramatic impact on your overall diet and on your belly fat.
Of course we realize everyone’s body is different and this carbohydrate total might not be suitable for you. That said, discuss your personal needs and the 100 gram-a-day rule with a licensed dietitian or your doctor.
All warnings aside, carbohydrate restriction is a proven method to help you lose belly fat fast, and is the primary driver behind the Keto Diet, Atkins Diet, etc.
Toss out the bread and pasta, and load up on vegetables and lean protein.
Note: Fruit can sabotage your efforts to avoid carbs. So can the things you drink. Yes, fruit and juice are good for you to an extent, but they can be loaded with carbohydrates. So beware!
Bananas are the worst!
BELLY FAT TIP #2: FASTING AND TIME RESTRICTED EATING
We talk about this on our YouTube channel and on our site frequently, but Time Restricted Feeding (TRF) and routine water-only Fasts really need to be a part of your routine if you want to lose belly fast and permanently.
We have other posts on the benefits of TRF and Fasting, which you can read here, but let’s just say that fasting is a belly fat burning miracle.
When you Fast and/or follow a Time Restricted Feeding window, you essentially give your body a break from digesting and assimilating food. This allows your body to focus on using stored calories for energy; mainly glucose and belly fat.
Tip: Try eating within an 8-12 hour window each day. An ideal TRF window would be between 10 am and 6 pm, where you don’t eat anything before 10 am and you stop eating completely after 6 pm.
If you’re looking to start a regular fasting protocol, but don’t know where to start, download our 90 day REBUILD program and we’ll guide you through the process.
Belly Fat Tip #3: Workout in a fasted state (and crank up the intensity)
I’m sure you’ve tried high intensity interval training (HIIT) before, but have you ever tried HIIT on FASTING before? There is some crazy fat burning stuff going on there. “Fat Burning Team Go! Fat Burning Team Go!”
Okay, that so was our best attempt at adopting a Half Baked movie quote into a fitness post, so I hope you liked it. It won’t happen again…we promise.
Anyways, as we mentioned in tip #2, fasting creates a caloric deficit that causes the body to convert stored fat to energy. When you workout in a fasted state you accelerate the rate at which fat is converted to usable energy.
This can dramatically increase the benefits of your regular workouts and help you lose belly fat fast. However, we do not encourage you to workout during a prolonged fast of 24 to 48 hours (or longer), as this can become dangerous for some people and cause them to pass out.
The best time to workout is during your fasting window, either in the morning or before your first meal of the day; ideally after fasting for 14 to 16 hours.
This is when your body’s rate of lipolysis (fat break down) is likely to be at its highest.
Conclusion: Okay, so you came to this post to learn how to lose belly fat fast. We hope we taught you a few things you didn’t know and that you will try these tips and experience the results for yourself. We have lots of resources on our site related to time restricted eating, fasting, and fat loss, so check them out if you want to learn more.
Bonus Fat Burning Tip: Try taking a high dose of Niacin 90 minutes before your workout. Niacin further increases the rate of lipolysis, which can accelerate belly fat loss even more. This only works with REAL Niacin though, so read labels carefully.
Flush-free Niacin is just a chemical marketed as Niacin and does not have the same affect.
